Basic Safety Precautions of Ultrasound Machine.

*Note:Its basic Precautions for all machines not for dedicated machine.

Basic Three types of Safety Precaution that are follows:

          1)Electric Safety

          2)Mechanical Safety

          3)Personal Safety

1.Electric Safety-

          a)Use of power plug of machine  and other external or peripherals devices such as printer, External monitor etc, that meets the power rating of it.

          b)Always check and confirm the AC power of machine is disconnected while you cleaning, installing any hardware part and uninstall the machine.

          c)Do not use the machine simultaneously with electrosurgical unit, high frequency therapy equipment's or defibrillator etc, otherwise electric hazards is happen.

          d)Do not connect or disconnect the machine power cord or its accessories without power of first. otherwise it damage the machine as well as accessories.

          e)Avoid electromagnetic radiation when you diagnose the machine or when you troubleshoot the machine while breakdown.

          f)Use electrostatic protecting gloves when you touch the electrostatic board or spare of machine otherwise it damage the spare or board.

2.Mechanical Safety-

          a)Before moving the machine, please hold the handle. If other parts of the machine are held, it may cause damage due to the abnormal force.

          b)Do not push the machine from the left/right side otherwise, it may be toppled over.

          c)Please do not use the defective probes. Use of defective probe may cause electric shock to the patient and operator of machine.

          d)Do not expose the machine to excessive vibration during transportation to avoid mechanical damage.

          e)Please install the machine on flat surface and always lock the wheels of machine, otherwise it may damage due to accidental moving.

          f)Move the machine only when it shut down or in stand-by mode otherwise machine hardware may be damage.

3.Personal Safety-

          a)If your user of machine then don't open the hardware of it.

          b)Always breakdown work done by qualified engineer or under professional observation.
